Anarchy Championship Wrestling's Nightmare on 10th Street - October 18, 2009

This past Sunday I went down to Austin to see ACW's show at the Mohawk. I won't run down the card because you can get that info at their website, but let me just tell you that it was almost 5 hours of fun and excitement that should not have been missed if you are a wrestling fan in Central Texas. It was totally worth the drive to see some wrestlers I know and love, some new wrestlers that won me over, and the legend Jerry Lynn and Shimmer Women Athlete Tag Team Champions, the Canadian Ninjas.

AMD takes a dump but that won't stop me from Talkin' Wrasslin'!

So my AMD processor in my PC decided to die on me the other day. I'll have to wait until Sunday to get a new one and I hope I don't have to dish out an arm and a leg for a bunch of new crap. Thankfully my good friend Jason is helping me out with everything and everything will be back in normal order in no time.

I have a backup iMac G3 that was able to use to do Talkin' Wrasslin' LIVE last night, but Procaster doesn't support Macs yet and even when they do, they probably won't support such an old system. Thankfully I could still do the show via Livestream's web based video studio and I did about 40 minutes of talkin' wrasslin'. I talked about the ACW American Joshi Queen of Queens Tournament, TNA's Slammiversary PPV and new angles, WWE's The Bash PPV and new angles, local Houston wrestling events such as the IWE show on the 4th of July, the WOW/NWA-SW show next Friday, and the TASW and PWA shows next Saturday. I plan to attend most of the local shows mentioned and bring reports back onto www.robbzipp.net along with exclusive photos and perhaps some wrestler interviews.

As for the video and audio podcast of this week's show, there are none available. I was unable to record the show because of my computing limitations. If you didn't see it live, you missed out. Don't worry, though. There will be a new show next Wednesday and I might even do some weekend updates after the local events. Stay logged onto to www.robbzipp.net and get all of the latest!

No Talkin' Wrasslin' last night - ACW webmatch from Sunday

So I was a dumb-ass and screwed up my internet connection last night and couldn't go live with Talkin' Wrasslin'. I might get to it later tonight or tomorrow, but we'll see.

The big part of what I wanted to talk about was Sunday's ACW show down in San Antonio and the TNA PPV in Detroit. Both were amazing and I'm glad I was at the ACW show. Check out the photo slice for a ton of great pictures from the event.

ACW just posted an exclusive webmatch on youtube and I have it for you right here!

Anarchy Championship Wrestling's American Joshi Queen of Queens Tournament - The Venue - San Antonio, Texas - June 21,2009

Sunday evening I took my friend Drolley to see an amazing wrestling event in San Antonio. Some of the best Women's Wrestlers in the world where there for a new tournament and we got to see many of them battle it out several times. We had front row seats and we were literally one foot away from the ring and it was easy and fun to interact with the performers and be a part of the show. This is one of the most fun events I've been to as a wrestling fan and I'm so glad I was able to go and turn my friend onto something that she wasn't into before.

If you go to the Photo Slice, you will see a selection of some of my favorite shots from the evening's events. Check 'em out and leave me a comment!

Talkin' Wrasslin' LIVE! from last night, Zune rules, upcoming Vacation.

Did my live web show by myself last night. Procaster actually worked and didn't crash one time! It didn't record the entire video like it was supposed to, though. This means that I couldn't get the audio extracted for podcast purposes. This is still a work in progress. I just wish I had more time to dedicate to making it a little better each time.

In the PC vs Mac war, I side with PC. Fuck Apple. I do have these old iMac's that I will use, but I am never ever going to give that bastard Steve Jobs any of my money. That doesn't mean I'm totally in love with Bill Gates. I would gladly use another OS if there was one better out there, free, and I could use all of the programs that I like/love. As for my Zune, I love it. If you don't like them, great for you. Keep your opinion to yourself. Apple = Fisher Price x $$$$. Next time someone talks shit about my Zune, I'm going to shove it down their fucking throat.

Speaking of fake violence, would anyone like to go to Pasadena with me to see some Wrasslin'? Some TNA guys will be there and so will some dudes from back in the day who I need to get to sign my old 8 x 10. It'll be fun and I might even buy your ticket, Packratshow since it was your birthday the other day. I would have called, but I've just been sleeping and working. Nothing too exciting.

My dad and I have been watching the Stanley Cup Final between Detroit and Pittsburgh. He likes Detroit and I'm pulling for the Penguins in this one. Tonight is game 3. Detroit leads 2-1 in the best of 7 series.

The NBA Finals start tonight and I HAVE to have the Orlando Magic beat the LA Lakers. I already owe my cousin a bottle of Jaigermeister from LA beating Denver. If I lose to him again, I will owe him $20 worth of stuff at Waterloo in Austin.

I'm going up to visit when I get out of work on the 19th. I'll probably drive and sleep as soon as I get there. On Saturday me and my cousin Erik are going to hang out and that evening we're going to see the Round Rock Express vs New Orleans Zephyrs in a AAA baseball match up. It should be good times. The next day I'm going to meet up with Joanne and we're going to check out some Women's Wrasslin' in San Antonio.  I'm probably going to get a hotel room Sunday night, but I don't know what I'm going to do after that.

I have that entire week off from work (hooray vacation!), but I only have plans for that weekend. I know I want to do the Texas Triple By-Pass Tour in Lockhart, but I don't want to do it alone. I also don't want to just sit at home doing nothing all week. Suggestions, anyone?
