The Saints are Super Bowl Champions because I made it so!

Yes, I went to New Orleans the weekend of the Super Bowl and gave the city and the team my blessings to win the Super Bowl and defeat the Colts in order to get revenge on the Colts for beating my Chicago Bears a couple of years ago.

Some may say that I jumped on the bandwagon, but I've told everyone that I know that the Saints are my #3 team, so I'm happy that they won. I really love the city of New Orleans and have mostly positive times down there, including this past weekend. 

Friday night we drove in and partied on Bourbon Street until about 5 AM. The next day we had a very nice lunch and took in several Mardi Gras parades. I hit the hay early and we all came back Sunday afternoon in time to watch the Super Bowl. Most of us had to work this morning, so that's why we didn't stay there to watch it and party some more after the victory.

I am going back for Lundi Gras and actual Mardi Gras. So far it's just me and my friend Jody, but we are willing to let at least 2 more people come with us. We'll be staying at the same hotel that I stayed at this time, which is the Hotel Intercontinental on St. Charles Ave., which is right on the Uptown Parade Route.

First ever Talkin' Houston Wrasslin' is in the can and it went well!

I was joined on the phone by Biss, who is helping with WOW/NWA-SW and we talked live about what he's doing here in Houston and then I went to a pre-recorded interview that I did with Steve DeMarco, who is the booker for IWE. I also had brief run downs on what's going on with all of the area promotions and was happy to live chat with A.J. Maggot from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and Jason "The Bar" Massey from Vineland, New Jersey who runs the Wrestling Randomness podcast that I've become a big fan of.

I know my friend Vanessa was also listening because she said so via Facebook, so that's awesome. If you missed it live, I have it for you RIGHT HERE!

As always, PLEASE let me know what you think. I'm open to all suggestions. I'd also like to know how often you think I should do this. Once a week, once every two weeks, or once a month? I'm not sure what would be best.

Jason "The Bar" Massey of www.wrestlingrandomness.com posted a video and included some game shots of created wrestlers he made of me and A.J. Maggot on Smackdown vs Raw 2010. So if you've given Vince your $60 and can download created characters, you can play as ROBB ZIPP! haha I'm rather flattered and ALMOST thought about buying the game, but I'm going to look for a used copy that's less than $30. I want to try to not give Vince McMahon money, if I can help it. Anyhow, here's the video:

I'm also getting excited about the Talkin' Houston Wrasslin' LIVE! Podcast that I'm doing in 48 of my posting of this. Last night I called "Sexy" Steve DeMarco and talked about all things IWE, and some of his thoughts on TASW, PWA, WOW and a little bit about his XWO Reborn Title Reign. 

In personal non-wrestling party fun time news, I'm going to New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras. I'm getting a nice amount of money in my income taxes, so I'll have some money to drink away the funk I've been in. HUZZAH!

IWE's A Wrestling Odyssey and Talkin' Houston Wrasslin'!

Alright, everyone. I have a new blog post up on the Houston Chronicle with results from the latest IWE show. If you visit my photo page, you will be able to see my pictures from the event. 

This Friday I'm going to do a live podcast on Blog Talk Radio. I guess go to www.blogtalkradio.com/robbzipp and it should be able to give you more info on that.

I was also on the Wrestling Randonmess SHOOT! podcast last night, but I might have been a little out of hand. I haven't heard back from anyone on whether or not I crosses a line, but maybe you can check it out and let me know what you think.

New photos from TASW Humble Rumble and VCCW in Ft. Worth and MORE!

OK, I finally figured out what the issue was with photo uploads. I corrected the situation and I think things will be better for it in the long run.

I have a few new photo sets up from some recent adventures. There are some funny hidden gems inside, so don't pass them up!

As for upcoming fun, I hope to have a hot date on Friday, Independent Wrestling Entertainment on Saturday, and much more to come!
